Leadership and Team
VERIPAN combines many years of entrepreneurial experience with independent operational leadership and a young, international team.
Founder Meiert J. Grootes is responsible for the company’s strategic direction. Overall operational responsibility lies with Andreas Herzig, who has helped shape VERIPAN’s development since 2022.
An international team of eight employees works on developing, implementing and supporting our solutions.

VERIPAN combines more than three decades of FoodTec expertise with digitised process knowledge and innovative technologies. Under the operational leadership of Andreas Herzig, we develop forward-looking functional ingredients and scalable solutions for the international bakery industry.
2024 | Plug-and-Run Innovation
The Bakery Innovation Center (BIC) opens in Matzingen. The Plug-and-Run concept enables industrial customers to develop new technologies and product solutions together with VERIPAN, validate them in practical trials and scale them efficiently for industrial production.
2022 | Industrial Co-Creation
With Andreas Herzig joining the company, VERIPAN begins its operational development and focuses consistently on direct collaboration with industrial customers. Co-creation becomes the central approach to innovation.
2019 | Strategic Realignment
A consistent realignment towards innovative technologies, functional ingredients and customer-specific solutions with high potential for industrial scale-up.
2002 | Pioneers in Upcycling
With the development and launch of the PANATURA® sourdough concept, VERIPAN becomes a pioneer in upcycling plant-based side streams into high-quality functional ingredients. Since then, 18 upcycling projects have been completed.
